KEC Secretary General presents his latest book ‘Amazing China’ to Ambassador of People’s Republic of China in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD: Yao Jing, Ambassador of People’s Republic of China (PRC) has appreciated the role of Karachi Editors Club (KEC) in the launching of Manzar Naqvi’s book ‘Amazing China’ and celebration of 97th foundation anniversary of Communist Party of China (CPC) in Karachi early in the week.
He expressed these feelings during a meeting with Manzar Naqvi, Secretary General KEC and author of ‘Amazing China’ who came all the way from Karachi to present his new book to Yao Jing. Ali Nawaz Gilani, General Secretary, Pak-China Friendship Association, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Advisor of KEC on China also came from Peshawar to join Naqvi in his meeting with the Ambassador, on Friday.
Secretary General KEC informed the Ambassador that ‘Amazing China’ was launched on July 1st, 2018 on the eve of 97th Anniversary of CPC presided by Wang Yu Consul General of China at Karachi. Senior Journalists from the print and electronic media, renowned authors of different books, elite from corporate sectors including You Hang, Deputy Managing Director of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) also attended and addressed.
Anniversary cake designed in Chinese flag also cut by Wang Yu at the conclusion of the ceremony while at the end of launching ceremony.
Earlier on December 26th, 2015 another book of Manzar Naqvi ‘Wonderful China’ was launched on the birth anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong by the then Vice Consul General in Karachi, Dr Mu Yongpeng, in Karachi.
Secretary General KEC presented the KEC memento to Yao Jing to acknowledge his meritorious services in improving Sino-Pak bilateral and trade relations on behalf of KEC Executive Committee and his both books on China.
Naqvi also informed the Ambassador that KEC President Mubasher Mir, addressing the ceremony in question suggested to Wang Yu to open a CPEC Facilitation Desk at the Chinese Consulate in Karachi so as to facilitate the concerned public and media in both the countries.
KEC has also invited the Chinese Ambassador in any next meeting of the Karachi Editors Club as a chief guest where senior editors, columnists and editors who are members of the KEC will have a chance to meet him and discuss the bilateral relations of both the countries in detail.
Yao Jing thanked and appreciated the gesture of KEC for China and the Chinese people and assured that he will be join the exclusive meeting of the KEC being planned in his honour and assured his full cooperation to ‘The Financial Daily International’ and the Karachi Editors Club. He lauded the contents of the books authored by Manzar Naqvi i.e. ‘Wonderful China’ and ‘Amazing China’.
Li De, Personal Assistant to the Chinese Ambassador and Yang Ming, Press Attache of the Chinese Embassy assisted the Ambassador Yao Jing during the meeting.
